Hi, I'm Maddy!
When I was around 5 or 6 years old, my dad gave me my very first camera—a compact film camera adorned with a Cheetah on the front. This happened as we embarked on a journey from Norway to sunny Australia. By the time we landed in Perth, I had already exhausted a roll of film, capturing moments at the airport and during our stopover in Kuala Lumpur. By the age of 7, my family and I had relocated to Perth.
Since then, photography has become my passion. Every time my father upgraded his camera, I inherited the old one, sparking immense excitement within me. I took my camera everywhere, snapping shots at the zoo, during my parents' tennis matches, or wherever I found something intriguing.
Fortunately, my high school offered photography as a subject, which became my favourite. I felt a sense of pride seeing my work displayed on classroom walls alongside other talented students. After graduating, I applied for a photography diploma course but opted for a veterinary nursing traineeship due to a pre-existing job opportunity from volunteering at a veterinary clinic.
At 35 years old, I now rely on my trusty Canon R5, paired with a DJI Ronin SC gimbal. Additionally, I own various lenses, accessories, a GoPro Hero 9, a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone, and a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL phone.
Although landscape photography remains an area I'm continuously working on, I aspire to capture breathtaking landscapes. I attend workshops and continue practicing to refine my skills. I also have a deep passion for astrophotography, wildlife, and macro photography.
After all these years, I’m now a professional photographer, specialising in real estate photography, floor plans and drone photography to deliver high-quality visual content. Transforming my passion for photography into a rewarding career has always been my dream!
